My Family has been going to Abakee for 20 years. My Rickie was
just 3 when he we first started coming there. The next year we
had a brand new baby, (Brittany). She was just 9 days old. We
have been going there ever since. My kids grew up at Abakee, and
have made life long friends. We lost Rick in March 2006. He was
only 21, but I know that he had a good life and that Abakee was
a big part of that life. We see the same people year after year.
We still go there even though Rickie is gone. We can feel his
presence there, because he loved it so much. Thank you Bill and
Annette for being like Grandparents to my kids. And all the
people that were like Aunts and Uncles to my kids thank you too.
Love you always Sheryl and Ronnie Germain.

Subject: Hello
Just wanted to say I enjoyed
your website. As a child I vacationed at your place several
years in a row with my parents, Jim & Grace Ryan (formerly)
of Southboro,MA I have wonderful memories of those times,
especially visiting with "Lady" on our daily trips to the
main house to exchange towels. I am now searching for a
place that I can bring my family (with 3 young children) for
our summer vacation. I can see that you are as popular as
ever. Keep up the great work!

Wanted to thank you
again for the pleasant stay we enjoyed back in June of 2005;
myself and three teens. We hope to return soon. You do a
fantastic job with keeping the property in excellent
condition. It was exactly what I envisioned as the "classic
Winnipesaukee experience".
The kids liked calling their friends back home on the cell
phone, waving to the Abakee Camera. Here's a sunset shot taken
the moment we arrived, from the swimming dock

-- talk about a welcome sight!
Kindest regards from Lancaster, MA

Kentucky sends a note |
Dear Bill and Annette,
I'm writing to tell you how much I loved staying at Abakee. I
can't express to you how much it means to me that I get
the opportunity to stay there. It's hard to explain how much
what you two do impacts my life and the lives of everyone who
stays there.
I will remember the great times I've had at Abakee for the rest
of my life and I know as I grow older that your place will have
a very
special place in my heart. I work very hard all year to scratch
and
save just so I can stay there and as I was leaving this year it
really hurt because your place means so much to me.
If you're ever passing through Kentucky you better give me a
call and I'll take you two out to a nice dinner. I'm going to do
my best to
get back to Abakee next Oct and I hope you have a great winter.
Take care of yourselves and I wish you a healthy and happy
winter.
Sincerely,
Craig
